In France, regulations make certain training courses mandatory for employees. To ensure workplace safety, the Labor Code requires employers to provide safety training. In this article, our experts explain your obligations as a business owner and how the Deemply solution can save you significant time every day.
What are the mandatory training courses for ensuring employee safety?
Article R4141-15 of the Labor Code states that whenever a workstation is created or modified and involves exposure to risks, you, as the employer, must analyze those risks and provide the affected employees with training. The risks identified by the Labor Code under this obligation include:
- The use of portable or stationary machinery;
- The handling or use of chemical products;
- Handling operations;
- Maintenance work on equipment and facility installations;
- Operating vehicles, lifting equipment, or any other type of machinery;
- Work involving exposure to dangerous animals;
- Operations involving the assembly, disassembly, or modification of scaffolding;
- The use of rope access and positioning techniques.
These training courses are mandatory because you have a legal obligation to ensure the safety of your employees. It is your responsibility to comply with health and safety prevention measures in the workplace.
How can the Deemply solution help you ensure your employees' safety on a daily basis?
In just a few clicks, you can create all your employees' safety training records within the solution. There are numerous training courses available; for example, you can create training related to biology, self-propelled trucks, construction machinery, PPE, ergonomics and posture, nuclear certifications, and more. You will find over 70 types of training available.
Some training courses require renewal, which is why our tool allows you to set a frequency for each course and automatically receive a notification when a refresher is due.
Once training sessions have been created and completed, you can download a prevention passport for each of your employees. As a reminder, this document has been mandatory since April 2023 for all employees who complete workplace risk training. This new requirement stems from Law No. 2021-1018 of August 2, 2021. Our experts broke down this new obligation in March. If you haven't read that article yet, you can find it here.
Our solution's training feature also gives you a clear, two-click overview of your staff's training status. You can easily see which sessions are overdue, in progress, completed, or upcoming. This comprehensive view helps you schedule necessary training with your providers and ensures you meet your safety obligations.
As with all our features, you can perform a variety of actions, such as sending reminders to providers, exporting information to Excel, and more.
