For the past few months, the prevention passport has been a hot topic for companies that train their staff in occupational health and safety. To meet everyone's needs, we have added the ability to upload each of your employees' prevention passports directly into our safety register module. To help you understand the purpose and functionality of this document, we have broken it down for you.
Who is the prevention passport for?
Employees, job seekers, companies, and training centers are all affected by this regulatory document.
Employees and job seekers will be able to use a government-provided platform to enter and view their information, allowing them to highlight specific skills acquired during various training sessions. Activating this platform is entirely voluntary. By activating it, they can stay informed about their rights and, if necessary, contact their employer to arrange for required training.
Employers, for their part, will be able to upload attestations, certificates, and diplomas for employees who have completed company-provided training. These documents must be related to occupational health and safety.
Training centers will have the same obligations as companies and must therefore upload all relevant documentation.
What is the purpose of this new document introduced by the government?
The primary objective of the prevention passport, established by Law No. 2021-1018 of August 2, 2021, is to prevent occupational health and safety risks. To avoid these risks, it is essential to train employees. By centralizing all records, employers gain a comprehensive overview of the training completed, allowing them to better protect their staff.
Potential workplace risks include, for example:
- Biological hazards
- Radiological risks
- Chemical hazards
- Risks related to equipment and machinery
- The work environment
- Psychological risks
Starting in April 2023, anyone who has completed training will be able to access their prevention passport via their CPF account to verify their acquired skills. This information can be shared, allowing job seekers, for example, to highlight their qualifications.
