Our communications team is sharing a new spotlight feature today. For several months, we have been introducing you to our talented team members, but today we want to highlight one of our leaders, our CEO, Jérôme Périgord. You may have already seen his professional profile in the interview conducted by French Tech Vendée, which featured our company, Deemply, formerly known as registresecurite.com. As with all our team members, Jérôme followed our interview format to share his personal and professional journey with us.
Jérôme's educational background
From a very young age, Jérôme was immersed in the school environment, as his mother was a teacher. He was even taught by her until middle school, though he was never particularly passionate about academics. For his high school diploma, he chose the G3 track, which opened doors to the world of business. He passed his exams thanks in part to his music elective—a passion we will revisit later in this article.
Jérôme chose to continue his studies and began a BTS in Sales. These years of study proved to be a turning point for his future. Feeling at home in the sales profession, he spent two years running a foie gras sales project with his friend Olivier to hone their skills. Upon completing his two-year program, Jérôme earned his BTS and entered the workforce as a sales representative.
The birth of a passion for IT
For those who don't know, Jérôme is our project manager. Since the project's inception, he has been the one writing the features to be developed and verifying them once they are created by our team of developers (the Deemply page).
IT and new technologies have been a major passion for Jérôme for a long time. It all started in 1986 when his parents bought an Apple computer. Gradually, he practiced and his confidence in the field grew. He solidified his knowledge during his first year of BTS. At the time, as pranking was one of his favorite hobbies, he posted a message on all the computers in the high school computer lab, which didn't sit well with everyone. Being able to do that showed a certain level of technical skill back then, and one of his teachers pointed this out to those who were upset.
He owes all the knowledge he acquired between 1986 and his first year of BTS to Lionel, a neighbor whose profession was closely linked to IT. Jérôme would spend hours and hours there experimenting and learning about the new technologies of the time. These moments of sharing sparked the passion that still drives him today and has guided many of his life choices.
The impact of IT on Jérôme's professional life
After his BTS, Jérôme began looking for a job where he could combine his sales and IT skills. To become fully autonomous in IT, he completed a training course at IFC Informatique in Nantes focused on Windows 95. Once in the workforce, Jérôme started with a sales role in Rennes, followed by another in Auch in the Gers region, which lasted a year and a half. Neither experience was satisfying, as they did not allow him to use his IT skills; his duties were strictly limited to sales.
In 1999, he was offered the opportunity to join the family business, VPI, which was well-known in the Vendée department. After some reflection, he accepted and joined his father in the fire safety sector. To refine his expertise, Jérôme went for training with peers in Bordeaux and Toulouse. During these sessions, he had an encounter that would shape his professional life. The man he met encouraged him to join professional networks. By listening to his advice, Jérôme realized he needed to develop his network to grow the company. In 2001, he joined the DCF network. At 25, he learned from more experienced individuals, though he initially felt a bit out of his depth. His entry into the DCF, initiated by Jean-Pierre Bernereau, allowed Jérôme to meet Michel Lardiere. These men deeply influenced Jérôme's life and became his professional mentors. From 2009 to 2011, Jérôme served as president of the DCF Vendée association. A member of several other associations, he inherited his commitment to community involvement from his parents, who were also active in various organizations.
Over the years, Jérôme flourished in the family business by combining his passion for IT with his sales role, implementing a CRM that provided the company with a powerful tool. In 2011, he bought the family business and continued to develop it.
In parallel with the growth of the family business, Jérôme worked on the Deemply project, which was initially called registresecurite.com.
Encounters that changed Jérôme's life
Several encounters have shaped Jérôme's choices. Some revealed new passions, others guided him on his path, and some provided the momentum to develop his ideas. Meeting Stéphane, our General Manager, enabled Jérôme to build a lasting partnership in the development of Deemply, formerly known as registresecurite.com.
They met through a mutual acquaintance. At the time, Jérôme and Stéphane were doing business together, but Jérôme kept his registresecurite.com project—which he had started with a former partner—under wraps. A bond formed between the two men, who shared much in common, and one day, Jérôme showed Stéphane the solution's interface. After sleeping on it, Stéphane reached out to Jérôme, having recognized the company's potential. That was the start of their collaboration.
Registresecurite.com grew steadily, but things accelerated in 2019, when Jérôme completely rewrote the solution's roadmap over a single weekend to shape it into what it is today. Meanwhile, on January 1st, 2019, the company moved into La Loco Numérique in La Roche-sur-Yon and continued to grow.
Then came 2020 and the Covid-19 crisis. That was when Jérôme decided to sell his family business to dedicate himself 100% to the registresecurite.com project.
What happened next? We have all been living it together for several years now; the team has grown with the creation of several departments, including developers, sales, support, and finally, marketing and communications.
In 2025, we chose to continue the journey and expand into new markets by completely rebranding. Registresecurite.com became Deemply. The promise remains the same: we make it simple.
Who is Jérôme in his private life?
Computing isn't Jérôme's only passion; he is also driven by music. His instrument is the drums; he truly has rhythm in his blood and a highly developed musical sensibility. He even told us that certain songs have defined moments in his life. A song, a moment, a memory.
Jérôme is a man with a great sense of humor, as we all witness at the office. He is also kind to his colleagues and deeply committed to everyone's well-being.
He is a man who loves sharing time with friends and enjoys moments of conviviality. His wife and children are also integral to his personal and professional balance.
To conclude this article, we can tell you that it is the combination of Jérôme and Stéphane's personalities that forms the DNA of Deemply. This company is a reflection of the men they are—from their passions, like the birth of the company rooted in Jérôme's love for tech, to their personalities, such as the kindness toward staff that makes Deemply such a great place to work!
